Where else but Villa Pambuffetti would you not be surprised to have a plate of dried peppers sit before you with scissors to clip and snip bits into a pool of extra virgin olive oil or, to add an element of heat to one of your dishes. The presentation was perfect.

The best food and service in Umbria is still found at Villa Pambuffetti...http://villapambuffetti.comshapeimage_1_link_0
We arrived on the afternoon of October 1, a Friday. The evening dinner offer was a splendid seafood extravaganza . Pictured on the right is the first course, Gamberi with fresh olive oil and diced tomatoes. Simple
and delicious served with a rose of Sagrantino by Tabarrini. Then it began to increase in intensity. The 2nd course was a aragosta (lobster) pasta followed by
succulent monkfish in a rich curry sauce.
By this time we were well into the 2004 Sagrantino di Montefalco, also by Tabarrini. Mauro expertly decanted and served the
wine... we drank it.
The Pesce feast continued
