Castelnuovo Berardenga near Siena is home to the prestigious wines of Felsina including Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Ranchia - a renowned single vineyard Sangiovese, Fontalloro - 100% sangiovese monovarietal introduced in 1983 to showcase the unique characteristics of Felsina’s distinctive border location between Chianti Classico and DOCG Chianti Colli Senesi, Maestro Raro Cabernet Sauvignon, I Sistri Chardonnay and a number of other fabulous wines. Below, you will find a number of recent photographs of the Felsina property, many of which are of Ranchia - a 800 year old farm house - which I have been documenting for some time. If you are near Siena, treat yourself to a visit. You will fine the welcome warm, the olive oils full of flavor, the wines exceptional and the views extraordinary.
